Study Abroad For Undergraduate Students
We are pleased to invite qualified undergraduate Polytechnic students to apply for a term of study abroad and pursue a unique and rewarding educational experience overseas.
Opportunity to study abroad offers students a chance to experience life in countries rich in history, culture and accomplishment. Immersion experience in another culture strengthens understanding of the world and appreciation of international contribution to knowledge. It offers an opportunity to learn how to effectively cope in international environment, and communicate across barriers of custom, language, geography and politics. Skills developed in the course of this adventure will add another invaluable dimension to the quality of a well-rounded education that will ultimately enhance professional and personal endeavors of any student in this developing global community.
Program Options
Students may apply for a semester or an academic year of study abroad. Students may select from several universities with which Polytechnic Institute of NYU has entered into direct exchange agreements, or apply to one of 50 institutions around the world through the Global E-3 program.

An educational exchange program specifically designed for engineering students. Students may choose from among 50 prestigious colleges and universities in 18 countries of Europe, Asia, and Latin America. A significant number of courses is offered in English and a number of programs is available for students who are proficient in Spanish, German, French, Japanese, Korean and Chinese languages. Technion is Israel’s oldest university and largest producer of engineers and scientists. In recent years it has become a leading developer of Internet technology, data storage and other advanced technologies.

Swinburne University was established in 1908 and maintains strong technology base, important links with industry and innovative specialist research centers. The higher education division which oversees undergraduate and graduate programs supports enrollment of approximately 13,000 students in degree programs that include Biophysical Science and Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering and Science, Information Technology, Social and Behavioral Sciences and Mathematical Sciences among them.

Eligibility
Participation in study abroad programs is open to undergraduate students in good standing, who completed one year of academic study and are maintaining a 2.5 GPA average. While these are the minimum NYU-Poly requirements to participate in the program, please note that host institutions will be making their own determination about admissibility.
Academic credits earned during study abroad are transferable to Polytechnic Institute of NYU and will be applied to degree requirements subject to university policies and the approval of student’s major department.
