For the first time in nearly 150 years, Polytechnic Institute of NYU participated in a collegiate table tennis tournament in 2003. For the 2003-2004 year, as part of the New York City Division of the National Collegiate Table Tennis Association (NCTTA.org), Polytechnic finished second behind Columbia University in the division standings. This year also placed us 12 th in the nation. During the 2004-2005 year, Polytechnic came in third place behind Columbia and Rutgers. Needless to say, the last few years shows a very promising start for this new and exciting sport at Polytechnic Institute of NYU.
